Baby Emily....

Baby Emily is almost here! I am posting pictures of her nursery. Kate and Emily are sharing a room. Emily is using Kate's bumper pad from 4 years ago. We just restuffed it, and it looks brand new. We made a new crib skirt and crib blanket.

Another Girl Nursery...

This was fun custom bedding to do. My name was referred by a good friend. The mother-to-be is an interior designer so she had all coordinating fabrics picked out, everything lined out in detail, and knew exactly what she wanted. This made my part easy! Her nursery turned out abdorable. We did an overstuffed bumper pad and adjustable crib skirt. I attached a detail of the bumper pad. The inside has a lining which holds all the stuffing. All bumper pads have zippers for easy washing and cleaning.

The Spencer Nursery...when we thought it was girl!

This nursery was for a good family friend. It was fun one to do with cute fabrics! We did a cute custom bumper pad for the cradle. The custom nursery consisted of an overstuffed bumper pad, adjustable crib skirt, rocking chair cushions, throw pillows, window valance, and matching blankets. After this cute nursery was finished and put together, IT TURNED OUT TO BE A BOY!!!

Bailey's Nursery...

My nephew's nursery was a little more work because we went ahead and made custom bedding for the crib and the twin bed. The crib bedding included a "stiff" bumper pad which I had never done before and will only do for my one and only sister. (It was a NIGHTMARE!) Instead of ribbons or ties connecting the bumper pad to the crib, we did cover buttons for a more tailored look. The crib skirt was adjustable; as the crib height adjusts the crib skrit always hangs to the floor - allowing for extra hidden storage underneath. The twin bedding included a duvet cover, bed skirt, pillow shams, and throw pillows.

Trial No. 3

Well, it came down to me asking people if I could 'practice' on their nurseries. My next trials were for my cousin and sister (again). The fun part of all this is that everyone has such different taste. I have not done a nursery that is the same or similar yet.

For my cousin, we did a custom bumper pad, crib skirt, diaper stacker, and valance. This was the first time I had made the "extra thick" bumper pad. It adds a nice touch.

Trial No. 2

My best friend from school was having her first baby and asked about custom nursery bedding. Since it had been a few years since I had done Kate's nursery, I was kind of excited about sewing again. We did a custom bumper pad, crib skirt, throw pillows, and bench cushion. At this time, I was not able to due custom monogramming and the bumper pad was monogrammed by someone else.

Kate's Nursery...

These are pictures from my first attempt at nursery bedding and accessories. This bedding was designed to be used in the nursery and also transition into her room after the crib left. The custom items here include the curtain and valance, diaper stacker, throw pillows, quilt, bumper pad, and adjustable crib skirt. The last photo is an image of Kate's 'big girl' room. The same fabric from the curtains and crib skirt was used to make pillow shams for Kate's new bed.
